Falls Church - McLean Children's Center

A Planned Gift

A legacy gift can often be the largest and most impactful gift a donor can make. It just takes a little planning to let your intentions be known. A gift of any amount can make a difference for a young child attending the Children’s Center.

By including the following sentence in your will, you can direct either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your remaining assets to be donated to the Children’s Center:

I give to Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center, 7230 Idylwood Road, Falls Church, VA 22043 (Tax ID #54-0841262) $_____ (or ____ % of the rest of my estate) to be used for general purposes.

The gift amount can be determined after your intended gifts to loved ones are allocated.

If you already have a Will:

To add Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center as a beneficiary, you can amend or change your will with a Codicil (also known as an amendment or addendum).

If you do not wish to make any changes to your will, you can include recommendations in your will or end-of-life plan for your family and friends to donate to Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center instead of sending flowers as their condolences.

Please let us know that you’ve included the Childen’s Center in your estate plans so that we can discuss how you would like the funds to be used. We also would like to discuss how you would like to be recognized for your gift.

Gifts also can be created by making Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center the beneficiary of a fully paid Life Insurance Policy, a Retirement Fund, Appreciated Securities (stocks, bonds or mutual funds, and closely held securities), Annuities, or assets in a Donor Advised Fund.

The Children’s Center does not accept outright property such as a home, car, jewelry or art, but can accept the proceeds from the sale of those items.

For questions, please call the Children’s Center at 703/534-4907; ask for Renee Boyle.
