One of the most unique services that we provide at the Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center is giving our children the chance to see the amazing sites of the D.C. metropolitan area. While other preschools go on only a few outings every year, our classrooms go on field trips three days out of every week, and each individual class goes on roughly 3-4 field trips per MONTH! This allows us to take our children to a variety of fun and educational places, including local farms, water parks, libraries, swimming pools, and the zoo! We have also visited Smithsonian museums on the mall, and have even gone to the local fire station to learn about the job of a firefighter.
Once we return from our field trips, our children make art projects about their experiences and the things they saw. We display these projects in our hallway so that our friends and families can see all the amazing places we’ve been!
