Falls Church - McLean Children's Center

The Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington has selected Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center to be part of its 2018-19 class of Best Nonprofits of the Greater Washington Region, the Catalogue announced today, June 6, 2018.

Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center was selected after a rigorous review process conducted by a team of more than 120 experts in local philanthropy and has met the Catalogue’s high standards. Potential donors can be confident that the nonprofits the Catalogue has chosen are worthy of their support, the announcement stated.

“People want to know where to give and they need trusted information. Based on our in-depth review, we believe that Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center is one of the best community-based nonprofits in the region,” says Bob Wittig, Executive Director of the Catalogue for Philanthropy.

This is the sixth consecutive time since 2004 that Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center (the Children’s Center) has been honored by the Catalogue as One of the Best Nonprofits in the Greater Washington Region. “We’re proud that the Catalogue for Philanthropy continues to recognize the Children’s Center’s vital role of in giving young children who are at-risk of failing in school the chance for academic success and a brighter future through our high-quality, early childhood education program,”  Susan Poretz, board president of Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center, responded to the announcement. “We’re especially pleased to receive the Catalogue’s recognition in this 50th anniversary year of serving children and families in our community,” Poretz noted.
