Yes! You can give a child the chance to can avoid a “learning gap” and start school ready to learn.

You don’t have to be a world leader or a billionaire to change the world. Today#Giving Tuesday, is about ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things.

Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center was started by ordinary, local people who believed all parents should have a safe place for their children while they worked.  And all children should have a chance to build a strong foundation of skills they need to be successful in school.

Did you know that young children growing up in poverty usually have skills that are at least a full year to 18 months behind levels expected for their age?

You have the power to change the course of a young child’s life — toward academic success, financial self-sufficiency, and fulfillment.  Your gift of $10, $50, $100, $500 or more will give young children the books, art supplies, nutritious food, and field trips to build their critical language, math, physical and social skills.

Make a gift today and forward this message to a friend to help the Center compound your gift by earning prizes through the Catalogue for Philanthropy, the directory of small nonprofits selected as worthy of supporting for their vital services.
